Import, find 301 / new feed URL / leave, paste your zPod RSS URL, soak at least four weeks. Includes Feedburner, prefix services, and WordPress-hosted feeds.
In checklists, paste your zPod RSS URL. That looks like https://rss.podfora.com/{slug}-{feedId}.
Copy your zPod RSS URL. That looks like https://rss.podfora.com/{slug}-{feedId}. rss.zpod.cc is a backup host and 301s to the matching rss.podfora.com URL. Prefer rss.podfora.com for directory submissions and new integrations.
Leave Other Hosts
Import on zPod first, then redirect. These are leave-host steps. Directory portal work lives on Directory Updates.
1. Import to zPod, then verify GUIDs and media.
2. Find 301 redirect, new feed URL, leave, or cancel/redirect in the old host settings.
3. Paste your zPod RSS URL. Test the old URL in a private browser window.
4. If the old feed is on WordPress (PowerPress or another plugin), use WordPress Redirection (301) below. Typical source path is /feed/podcast/.
5. If there is no self-serve redirect, email support with the old URL and your zPod RSS URL.
6. Manually update Spotify, YouTube, Amazon, and Apple Connect if needed. Use Studio Directories for Apple, Spotify, and YouTube.
7. Soak at least four weeks. Do not delete until the host docs say the redirect survives.
8. Feedburner or another proxy: if directories use the proxy URL, update the proxy source to zPod, or 301 the proxy URL to zPod, and update directories. Do not 301 only the underlying host feed if Apple or Spotify still poll Feedburner.
WordPress Redirection (301)
If the old feed is on WordPress (PowerPress or another podcast plugin), use the Redirection plugin for an HTTP 301. Typical source path is /feed/podcast/. Target is your zPod RSS URL.
1. Import to zPod and verify GUIDs and media before you change WordPress.
2. Install and configure the WordPress Redirection plugin. Source is the path only (typically /feed/podcast/). Target is the full zPod RSS URL. Status is 301.
3. Clear caches. Run curl -I on the old feed URL and confirm 301 with Location equal to your zPod RSS URL.
4. Do not rely on PowerPress PodcastMirror or another plugin-only feed mirror. Those die when the podcast plugin is deactivated. Redirection or a server-level 301 survives.
5. Each extra feed or vanity path needs its own Redirection rule.
6. Keep Redirection through the soak. Deactivate PowerPress or the old podcast plugin only after soak.
zPod does not ship a WordPress plugin. Do not install or wait for a custom zPod or PowerPress plugin. Use Redirection, or a server-level 301 (.htaccess or host panel).
