Durable Feeds

Your feed URL should outlive your host. On zPod, the addresses podcast apps rely on do not move.

/e/

A Permanent Feed Id

Your RSS URL is a name you choose plus a permanent six-character id. Change the name later and the old feed address redirects to the new one.

Audio Addresses That Stay

Each episode's audio is served from an address built on the episode's id, such as /e/{id}.mp3. Editing the title, notes, or artwork does not change it.

GUIDs Are Permanent

zPod mints a GUID when you create an episode and never changes it. Import keeps the GUID your old host used, so subscribers do not download an episode twice.

Episode Pages Stay Put

An episode's web address is set when the episode is created. Retitling it later does not move the page.

How It Works in Studio

  1. Settings → Feed → Feed URL shows your RSS address and lets you change its name.
  2. Settings → Advanced → Show Identifiers lists the ids that never change.
